Condolence & Memory Journal

Peter was a great friend in law school, helping to relieve many of the pressures of a first year student with his humor and wit. I enjoyed my time with him as I held circuit court in the 1st Circuit and seeing him occasionally since I have been on the Court of Appeals. Wonderful man----Dear Friend.

So sorry to learn of Peter's passing. He was a big man in stature and spirit. Pete invited me to stay at his home the night before we returned for our sophomore year at The Citadel. He was not at home when I arrived so Mrs. Them sent me upstairs for a warm bath before dinner offering me a nice toddy. I will never forget her gracious hospitality nor Peter's friendship. My thoughts are about him and with all of his family.

Peter was one of the funniest most clever guys I ever knew. I was in court with him very often. Even when we were on opposing sides, it was never personal. He was one of the good guys and will be missed.
